Scientific Field Sales Account Manager


At InterSTEM Recruitment, we are looking for a Scientific Field Sales Account Manager for one of our clients that have been successful in supplying the life science community with a wide range of quality products. Our client are looking for somebody that has a passion for life science and a strong ability to communicate technical topics in a simple way.

The purpose of this role is to identify and target prospective customers by researching, reviewing and engaging with them through several communication channels, presentations, conferences, customer training and performing wet laboratory demonstrations where required.

Once Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed, this position will require the Scientific Field Sales Account Manager to visit customers 3-4 days per week.

Key skills and qualifications required:

  • Customer focus with an interest in consultation
  • Good level of laboratory experience
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strategic problem-solving skills
  • BSc Degree / MSc Masters / PhD in a life science subject
  • Knowledge of Antibodies, proteins, small molecules, immunoassays, molecular biology reagents, general laboratory reagents, inhibitors and cell culture reagents
  • Driver’s license required for this position

Experience desired from applicants for the Scientific Field Sales Account Manager:

  • Previously worked in a Scientific Sales role
  • PhD or demonstrable Lab experience if BSc or MSc achieved
