Sales Development Representative (Life Science)

Company Overview

Our client provide businesses with tools for chemical discovery, design, and optimization; they do this through their value work as a software development and contract research firm. In addition, they are a development partner with software, which is a system for keeping tabs on compound synthesis and making more informed design choices. In order to provide tomorrow’s drug discovery tools, you must invest heavily in new product development. They also have a robust greenfield project pipeline, and the company actively encourage their skilled software engineers, computational chemists, and other coworkers to take the reins on these initiatives and see them through to fruition alongside their efforts to advance established scientific and technological frontiers.

The Role

  • You must assist in directing quality sales leads to Account Managers and Distributors around the world by adhering to prequalification requirements.
  • Inbound lead qualification for Company Software, Discovery Services from commercial, government, and non-profit sectors.
  • Taking responsibility for leads in the CRM and working to improve data quality, record completeness, and efficient lead progression through the sales pipeline.
  • Ensure that the Company’s sales funnel is always full and that any leads given to you are nurtured in order to contribute to the company’s increase in sales.
  • Providing input on lead nurturing initiatives and taking responsibility for nurturing in your area.
  • Participation at Meetings and Other Events.
  • Help manage and finalize our company’s and our partners’ annual software renewals.
  • Protect the integrity of competitive intelligence by soliciting input on information gathered from other sources.

Skills and Experience / Prerequisites

  • An advanced degree in science is required; chemistry or biology is a plus.
  • Eagerness to operate in a commercial/sales setting.
  • Highly effective scientific communicator eager to expand interpersonal abilities.
  • Skills in reading, writing, and speaking and listening are exceptional.
