Overview:

My client is looking for a professional and passionate Managed Security Services (MSS) Engineer who is conscientious in delivering quality service alongside identifying areas for improvement and accountability in resolving client requests and problems via all platform of contact. The Managed Security Services (MSS) Engineer will play a trusted and pivotal role within team motivation, training, and dynamic business growth, therefore someone with expert knowledge in this field would be essential.

The role will of the Managed Security Services (MSS) Engineer will be working within a fast-paced environment so will need to be forward thinking and focused on the quality, details and accuracy of the work being produced. The client prides themselves on the vast opportunities they provide for career and personal development, therefore someone ambitious would suit this role. The Managed Security Services (MSS) Engineer will be representing the company through interactions with clients, vendors, and senior management, therefore must be smartly presented.

Key Skills Required:

  • The Managed Security Services (MSS) Engineer will manage service provided, via KPIs, SLAs, ticket systems and customer satisfaction
  • Provide specialist training to the team, ensuring the service being delivered is embracing the core values of the company
  • Maintaining and evolving company policies and systems to ensure optimal business functioning
  • Sporadic domestic and international client meetings for pre- and post-sale support
  • Client on-site works where required
  • Manage and develop new and existing clients through identifying and communication technological needs

Experience from applicants for the Managed Security Services (MSS) Engineer:

Essential:

  • Responsive and experienced in network security across multiple domains
  • Career history within network security, on a consultative and supporting basis
  • Relevant and continually evolving industry knowledge
  • Qualified on Fortinet, Bluecoat, Check Point, Cisco, Zscaler – or of similar
  • Authoritative and decisive decision making for the benefit of the team and company overall
  • Product knowledge of, but not limited to, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Networking, Unix, and Authentication
  • Shift/Overnight on call works (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off)

Desired:

  • BSc in Computer Science – or equivalent
  • Implementing Cloud Services and migration across large network and security projects
  • Experience in security standards and security risk assessments
  • Designing bespoke security resolutions
