Overview

I am currently working with a company that have created a new position for an IT Support Engineer to join their team and assist the development of their IT department.  As an IT Support Engineer, your typical day will include a combination of hands on and strategic work. Assisting to manage the existing infrastructure as well as plan for future systems and support that will be required to reach the company’s goal to move from multi-platform environments towards cloud applications.

The IT Support Engineer will require the following Skills / Knowledge

• Excellent Communication skills
• Able to work well with internal and external partners
• Linux Desktop Operating systems
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365,
• Experience of managing Mac OS X
• Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems
• VoIP telephone system
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues

Desirable Knowledge for the IT Support Engineer

• Network Security (Sophos, AV and VPN)
• Automated build technologies
• Microsoft Server technologies (incl. Exchange)
• Microsoft AD/Azure AD administration
• Microsoft Certified
• Networking (Cisco / HP
• Web Development
• VMware Administration
• Active Directory
