Engineering Support Manager

Our client is well respected within their industry and has over 30 years of success in supplying customers around the world with world class materials. Focusing on the future they are a looking to develop their team by hiring a Engineering Support Manager that will be the face of the business to their customers.

The Engineering Support Manager will have mechanical and electrical engineering qualifications and will have lead, supervised or managed a team in the past as they will play a vital role in developing the both the internal team and relationships with external customers.

Key Duties:

  • Liaise and build relationships with customers through excellent service and customer site visits (Globally)
  • Train and Manage team of engineers
  • Report on progress and success of client requests
  • Be the face of the business to customers and act as first point of contact, proving high level and rapid response.
  • Support technical team to develop new products based on customer feedback
  • Compile and issue operation and maintenance manuals for commissioned machines

Key Skills And Qualifications:

  • Customer orientated
  • Mechanical engineering qualification
  • Tangible industry work experience (technical / commercial)
  • Experience of supervising or managing a team
  • Exceptional organisation, collaboration, and communication skills (e.g. report writing)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Detailed-oriented, able to work both independently and in a collaborative project-focused environment, prompt and dependable
  • Able to adapt to business or customer needs with a flexible attitude


  • Programmable logic controller (PLC) or electrical experience
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics experience is desirable
  • Lean manufacturing experience
